OUR FIRM
Our firm handles every aspect of real estate law from the individual home closing to the complex commercial transactions. We also handle real estate related litigation. These matters include breach of contract, specific performance (forced performance of the contract), quiet title (elimination of claims against the title) and eviction actions (individual and commercial).
REAL ESTATE TRANSACTIONS
Real estate transactions can be very rewarding to everyone involved. However, it is important that you abide by certain rules when dealing with these types of transactions.
First, any agreements that you reach should be in writing and signed. If the agreement is not in writing, you may lose your right to the benefit you expect. Written agreements also reduce confusion and help to ensure a smoother transaction.
Second, it is important that you meet the dates contained in the contract. If you allow dates to expire, you may lose important rights. Your rights begin to expire immediately after the contract is signed.
The above is not intended as a substitute for legal representation. You should consult an attorney at the earliest stage in the transaction. This will ensure that your expectations are contained in the contract. It is better to have an attorney review the proposed contract before you sign. If you are not able to retain an attorney before signing a contact, you should do so immediately afterwards.
